AI ENGINEER
About Us
We at Lumion make beautiful, high-performance desktop software for architectural visualization. Think: gorgeous buildings, smooth lighting, slick renders — the works. Now, we’re on a mission to develop some AI enhancements on top.
We're not trying to build the next ChatGPT or reinvent neural networks. We just want to make our app smarter — with clever, useful, jaw-droppingly cool features — using the powerful AI models already out there in the wild. That’s where you come in.
What You’ll Actually Do
You're not a lab researcher. You're a feature whisperer who knows how to make AI do things. You'll use open-source models (diffusion, GANs, vision transformers, etc.), evaluate a few APIs, glue things together, and help our users get magical results with minimal clicks.
Here are some things we’re dreaming about:
- Turn a crappy photo into a stunning material.
- Auto-generate textures or assets with zero human suffering.
- Help users get better renders faster with upscaling, denoising, smart defaults.
- Integrate AI into creative workflows without making it feel like AI is taking over the world (yet).
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
- Has experience working with AI/ML in real-world, non-academic settings
- Knows how to wrangle pre-trained models (PyTorch, ONNX, Hugging Face, etc.)
- Loves building things, not just running experiments
- Can work in Python, and ideally isn’t afraid of C++ (or people who use it)
- Understands that “AI-enhanced” should never mean “mysteriously broken”
- Bonus: You’ve played with 3D software, graphics pipelines, or materials/textures
Why You Might Like It Here
- No infra-heavy LLM nonsense — just real features for real users
- Small team, high trust, low politics
- Ownership from day one: prototype, iterate, ship
- We’re allergic to buzzwords, but not allergic to shipping cool stuff
How to Apply
You can apply directly through LinkedIn.
Send your CV and a short intro about your experience working with AI in real-world applications — especially if it involved image processing or visual tools. If you’ve prototyped anything cool, we’d love to see that too.
