The network architect will bring his own experience in designing large enterprise networks. This person has experience with multiple technologies in SD-WAN, hardware and software firewalls and how to use them for various purposes, and remote access solutions (VPN). The network architect identifies gaps in designs, identifies risks, determined optimizations in high-level and low-level designs for the future network. After the design phase, the architect will support the network engineers in the design deployment and implementation including the transition of the current network setup to the future landscape. This person needs to have a hand-one mentality working with the team to get the job done.
Requirements:
- HBO
- Minimal 3-5 years or relevant work experience in mid-size IT organizations
- Review and provide input on High Level Design documents
- Create structure and provide input on Low level Design documents
- Identify technical risks and propose mitigations
- Experience with various vendors and technologies:
- Cisco ISE
- Cisco SD-WAN
- Fortinet SD-WAN with MSP
- Cisco Wireless
- Cisco LAN
- Cisco Firewall on-premises and Azure
- Palo Alto Firewall On-premises and Azure
- Support a team of network engineers, responsible for the implementation of the network low level designs and support migration activities
- Good documentation and reporting capabilities
Preferred Technology Experience
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) or Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr), Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewall Engineer certification
