.NET Developer

You will be part of the Digital Business division of Cegeka. Digital Business has in its portfolio various clients from both industry and services related areas. As an end-to-end IT partner, we help companies digitalize and automate their business in a way that allows them to react quickly to fast changing market conditions. You will be working for 2 of our customers: Q8 and Kazou.

Q8 is part of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, the state-owned oil company of Kuwait. For Q8 we are maintaining and extending several projects, which solve different internal and external business needs. From fueling card management system, new company enrollment process, to internal price management tools, this is part of the Q8 business we are taking care of.

Kazou is another project maintained by our team, the website is used for managing child vacations in Belgium. The Azure infrastructure used in this project is a handy choice for big summer and winter sales, that are organized every year.

The main technology used for both clients is ASP.NET MVC.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, test and implement new highly available and scalable software components
• Offer support for existing applications that are already in production
• Answer to P1 & P2 incidents in a timely fashion
• Answer customer questions
• Configure CI/CD pipeline
• Based on the functional analysis you do hands-on design and software development. You ensure good integration with external applications.
• Build and create proof of concepts on top of the latest frameworks, products and technologies
• Actively participate at improving the processes of the team; take initiatives and lead by example
• The applications you build are of good quality and generate extra business value for our customers.
• You write qualitative, easily readable code (so that documentation is not necessary) and do refactoring where necessary. You guarantee quality through test driven development (TDD) and continuous learning
• Provide and receive constructive feedback on technologies and functionality

What you need to succeed:

• At least 5 years experience in analysis, design, implementation and delivery of applications in the Microsoft Stack ( .NET Framework 4.7, .NET 6, ASP.NET MVC)
• You are familiar with OO design and design patterns.
• Background with working on support tickets
• Willing to work as part of a team of developers, using SCRUM methodology
• You can work independently but also enjoy working in a team
• Advanced English skills, both written and verbal
• Learning oriented person
• You have good communication skills and know in a clear and concise way to convey a message
• You know how to speak to a customer directly
• You are able to work in a dynamic environment with continually changing priorities and tasks
• You have experience in front-end JavaScript frameworks.
