Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

The work model for the role is Hybrid.

This role is contributing to the Measurement and Analytics R&D Division of Process Automation business based in India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Designing and promoting security as part of software product development along with analyzing and recommending improvements in existing software architecture.
• Should have in-depth understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security.
• Should have experience with cyber security threat modeling and assessment using various tools such as Threat Modeler and Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool etc.
• Should have experience with various security tools (Burp Suite), API Security testing tools, Docker Image scanning solutions, vulnerability analysis, security risk management, security risk identification and mitigation.
• Participating and contributing to design discussions and reviews in order to secure our ABB products.
• Should have experience in DevSecOps and have a key role in defining/ implementing the security aspects in our CI/CD pipeline.
• Responsible for designing M&A’s cloud, web, mobile and SW (desktop) applications and owning the Software process and ensuring all the security aspects/issues are tracked till closure.
• Driving awareness in the team on cyber security risks, requirements and compliance and tracking and reporting compliance to ABB cyber security standards in development
  
  

Qualifications for the role

• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in threat modeling, VAPT, cyber security. Experience with information security concepts and design principles
• Experience in web application, mobile application security. Familiarity with secure development Lifecycle. Security practices like patch management, vulnerability handling, threat modelling, system hardening
• Experience with diagnostics and monitoring tools, vulnerability assessment and test tools. Understanding on digital certificates and PKI infrastructure. Experience with threat modeling.
• Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Understanding on best practices and weaknesses in cyber security like OWASP, CWE, CVE. Microsoft Azure security concepts on ADFS, IoT Hub, security center
• Experience with scripting, programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Java, Perl etc.). Updated and familiarized with the latest exploits and security trends, architecture and integration skills
• Understanding of ethernet based communication protocols like modbus, OPCUA, HTTP, MQTT, AMQP. Exposure to cyber security standards like ISA-62443
