Senior DevOps Engineer – Melbourne
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic and mission-critical software team in the defence and aviation sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and implement emerging DevOps technologies to enhance CI/CD capabilities and cloud infrastructure.
- Design, deploy, and maintain automated pipelines for application deployment across on-premise and Azure cloud environments.
- Support internal systems as a Level 3 Administrator, handling escalations and maintaining IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deployment velocity, scalability, and monitoring.
- Continuously improve infrastructure-as-code practices and contribute to robust, fault-tolerant deployments.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps and infrastructure administration within enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and YAML-based configuration.
- Proven capability in scripting with Bash and PowerShell, and working with version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with Microsoft and Linux administration, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native architectures.
Strong technical knowledge in:
- Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps toolset
- Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools
- Active Directory, Networking, and Security administration
- CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Helm, Kubernetes)
- Monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana), MS SQL, Azure SQL
Salary:
$150- $165,000 + Super
