Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior .NET Developer to join our financial services client on a daily rate contract. This role is ideal for someone with 8-10 years of professional experience and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The role is hybrid-based, with part-time on-site presence in Dublin required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using a range of technologies, including WCF services, Web Forms, MVC, C#, Web-APIs, Windows Services, Angular 7+, MS SQL Server, Git, Azure DevOps, and AWS Lambda functions.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to define system requirements and technical specifications.
- Implement best practices in software development, such as code reviews, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from conception through to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently and ensure the highest level of code quality.
- Optimize system performance and ensure applications are scalable and secure.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Senior .NET Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET framework.
- Expertise in developing and consuming WCF services, Web-APIs, and Windows Services.
- Expertise in Web Forms, MVC, Angular 7+ for front-end development.
- Proficiency with MS SQL Server for database management and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with version control (Git), Azure DevOps, and AWS Lambda functions.
- In-depth understanding of RESTful APIs and their implementation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality code.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Python scripting for automation and data integration.
- Knowledge of data integration processes, including ETL and file transport protocols.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and tools, including Azure DevOps and AWS services like S3, CloudWatch, etc.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization for .NET applications.
- Previous experience working with AWS Lambda functions and associated services.
