About This Role

Please note that this position is located in Berlin, and is 3 days a week in the office, the rest of the time is up to you!

This is an exciting opportunity to join the JET Honey Badgers team, a dynamic and focused stream-aligned team. Our mission is to accelerate the development of critical product objectives, ensuring swift and effective delivery of impactful solutions and a seamless handover of newly developed capabilities to our dedicated platform teams.

Currently, our team is at the forefront of enhancing JET's marketing and communications capabilities and tools within the customer experience. This is your chance to directly contribute to initiatives that will elevate how we connect with and serve our users.

As an integral part of our collaborative and streamlined team, you won't be siloed. You'll be involved in every stage of the software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to implementation and deployment. This role offers a significant platform to leverage your strong .NET engineering skills, collaborate closely with various teams across the business, and take a leading role in the backend development and delivery of key technical initiatives. You'll have the opportunity to drive the technical implementation of new features, lead backend delivery efforts, and work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust and scalable solutions.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Consistently produce high-quality software which fits the team’s expectations and best practices
• Contribute to the definition of product features, getting involved in workshops with other engineering teams and Product Managers
• Ensure continuous improvements by proposing and implementing new processes, designs and engineering practices that make the team more effective
• Transparently communicate your progress and discuss ideas with your team and Technology Manager. Share new development practices, patterns, and standards with the team
• Get involved in the definition of product features and workshops with your team.
  
  

What will you bring to the table?

• Solid proficiency in C# with a good understanding of the .NET ecosystem.
• Practical experience working with AWS (or similar cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, like DynamoDB or CosmosDB
• A solid understanding of and ability to implement various testing approaches (Unit, Integration, E2E, etc.).
• Exposure to Kubernetes and understanding of basic cloud architecture patterns.
• Understanding the principles of designing and implementing event-driven distributed systems.
• Able to work with increasing independence, taking ownership of assigned technical tasks and contributing to the delivery of technical initiatives within a workstream.
• Good communication and collaboration skills(we’re advocates of inner-sourced software development at JET!).
