About us:

Daedalean is a Zürich-based startup founded by experienced engineers who want to completely revolutionize air travel within the next decade. We combine computer vision, deep learning, and robotics to develop full “level-5” autonomy for flying vehicles.

We are building a dedicated engineering team in Riga to strengthen the development and maintenance of data annotation tools. These tools are primarily used for images and structured data processing, supporting workflows and automation for teams working on AI/ML and other data-related projects.

Your role:

You’ll be at the heart of developing, customizing, and improving the internal systems that power our data annotation tools.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience with Python (Django, Flex, FastAPI), JavaScript and HTML/CSS tech-stack
Hands-on knowledge of Git version control and branching strategies
Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD tools (we use Jenkins)
Experience to roll-out and maintain applications in the Linux-based environment (preferably Ubuntu)
Solid troubleshooting skills and a proactive, support-oriented mindset
Clear written and verbal communication in English
Experience with React and TypeScript (or strong willingness to learn it) is a plus
Experience with video/image processing tools (OpenCV, FFmpeg) is a plus
Prior exposure to enterprise support environments (L2/L3) is a plus

Responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain web applications and CLI tools to handle data annotation workflows
Develop middleware and interfaces to streamline operational workflows
Ensure tools scalability and reliability with CI/CD pipelines
Deliver applications support for end-user issues
