About Us:
At MOYA, we’re building more than just a carbon accounting platform—we’re creating tools that help businesses take meaningful action on climate. Our platform makes it easier for companies to track emissions, collaborate with suppliers, and achieve their sustainability goals with confidence and clarity.
We’re a mission-driven team that values collaboration, curiosity, and making a real impact. Combining deep technical expertise with a startup spirit, we’re always learning, iterating, and growing.
We’re looking for developers who are passionate about clean code and creating solutions that drive real-world change. If you care about climate, data, and building with purpose, we’d love for you to join us on this journey.
About the Role:
We're building a next-generation sustainability platform that blends data-driven impact with interactive, game-like experiences — and we’re inviting creative, curious minds to help shape it.
As a Game Developer Intern, you won’t just be developing games — you’ll be helping create an engaging platform that empowers businesses, governments and individuals to act on climate change. You'll work with our design and engineering team to use storytelling, UI/UX, reward loops, and interactivity—core tools of game development—to make sustainability accessible, actionable, and engaging. This is a paid role.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of interactive features that apply game mechanics (e.g., badges, levels, challenges, tutorials) to sustainability goals.
- Work with game engines and front-end frameworks to prototype, test, and refine the user experience.
- Collaborate with designers, data scientists, and sustainability experts to turn complex data into intuitive visual and interactive experiences.
- Contribute ideas on user engagement, gamification strategies, and behavioral nudges.
- Assist in debugging and optimizing performance across devices and browsers.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Game Development, Computer Science, or related field (or strong portfolio).
- Basic understanding of game development tools and programming languages (e.g., C#, C++, UnityScript).
- Passionate about games and gameplay mechanics.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced team environment.
Bonus (not required):
- Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
- Background in art and animation .
- Interest in sustainability, carbon accounting, or ESG platforms
