We are currently working with a rapidly growing Start-Up based in Ghent who have created an exciting new healthcare platform, looking for an AI Engineer with a strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, and Python to join their innovative team.

They're a fast-growing HealthTech company on a mission to improve patient care and outcomes through AI-driven solutions. Our technology supports hospitals and medical professionals in clinical decision-making, workflow automation, and patient communication—making healthcare smarter, faster, and more personalized.

As an AI Engineer, you will:

• Design, build, and deploy scalable NLP and ML models tailored to healthcare data.
• Collaborate with the other members of the team on the Frontend and Backend - And report straight into the CTO.
• Develop and maintain robust Python-based pipelines for data processing and model training.
• Work with real-world medical data
• Continuously improve model performance and contribute to cutting-edge research in health-focused AI.

Your profile:

• Proficiency in Dutch
• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a focus on Natural Language Processing.
• Strong coding skills in Python, including ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Experience with healthcare data, ontologies, or clinical NLP is a plus
• A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently.
