The Job to Be Done:

User-Centric & Playful Design for Young Audiences:

• Lead comprehensive design processes, from user research and ideation to polished UI.
• Conduct research and testing to deeply understand younger users’ preferences and behaviors.
• Design intuitive, playful, and compelling experiences that captivate and retain users.

Engagement & Fun Factor:

• Incorporate gamification, playful interactions, and entertainment-inspired elements to drive user delight.
• Develop experiences optimized for repeated engagement, habit formation, and sustained enjoyment.
• Continuously improve designs based on analytics, feedback, and evolving user needs.

Exceptional Visual & Interaction Design:

• Produce visually appealing, engaging, and consistent design assets and interfaces.
• Maintain and enhance a cohesive design system, ensuring exceptional quality across the platform.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to implement seamless, pixel-perfect designs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align design with business and user objectives.
• Balance design goals with technical feasibility and business requirements.
• Contribute to the user experience of internal tools to ensure consistency and ease of use.

• Quickly prototype, iterate, and validate concepts through testing and user insights.

The Profile We’re Looking For:

Proven Senior Design Expertise:

• 5+ years of professional experience designing interactive, engaging consumer digital products.
• Strong portfolio showcasing excellent UI/UX, visual design, and playful user experiences from concept to launch.

Youth-Focused UX Experience:

• Proven experience designing for younger audiences (gaming, entertainment, edtech, social platforms).
• Ability to create engaging, enjoyable experiences tailored specifically to younger users.

Outstanding Visual & Interaction Skills:

• Exceptional visual design talent with proficiency in design tools (Figma).
• Demonstrated skill in crafting intuitive interactions, captivating visuals, and enjoyable user experiences.

Collaborative Mindset:

• Effective collaboration with product managers, developers, and diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate design rationale and decisions.

Entrepreneurial & 0-1 Approach:

• Comfortable operating in 0-1, fast-paced environments with rapid design cycles.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, proactive attitude, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Interest in AI & Emerging Technologies:

• Curiosity or experience in designing experiences enhanced by AI, machine learning, or personalization technologies.
• Passionate about exploring new tech to elevate user engagement and enjoyment.

• Global remote work, but must be able to work UK time zones (flexibility is considered)
• Willingness to fly to UK at least once a year (company paid)
