For our client from the logistics industry in Bern, we are looking for an experienced, motivated and open-minded Application Developer

• Type of contract: Staff leasing (temporary employment via Coopers)
• Contract duration: 15.05.2025 to 31.12.2025 (option of extension)
• Workload: 80-100%
• Place of work: Bern

Your tasks:

• Development of middleware as a bridge between various external systems (modules) and internal company systems
• Enabling communication with specific functionalities and the exchange of master data between systems through the function of an intermediary that can be used by various manufacturers/suppliers
• Build a service platform from the ground up
• Work on building the core POS system with a domain orientated approach

Your profile:

• At least 5 years of experience in the role of Application Developer or in a comparable position
• Programming language: Java, (Type)JavaScript
• Frameworks/Technologies: Angular, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes
• Database/Storage: PostgreSQL and Kafka
• Version control: Practical experience in the daily use of Git with pull request–based workflows working within a monorepo
• CI/CD: Experience in continuous development with GitHub Actions serving as a continuous integration and deployment platform
• Automated testing: Experienced in unit-, integration- and system-testing
• Deployment & infrastucture: Terraform, ArgoCD
• Lifecycle-Management: Experience in managing the software lifecycle, from dev to ops incl. deployment, maintenance and scaling)
• Monitoring and logging: Proficient in implementing and integrating monitoring platforms like Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus with various solutions for comprehensive system observability
• Software architecture: Understanding of software architecture principles, particularly in the areas of microservices, REST-APIs, cloud-based architectures and modulithic system design
• Agile methodology: Experienced in agile methods like Scrum and Kanban
• Collaboration: Jira and Confluence, MS Teams
• Analytical and pragmatic approach: Ability to analyse complex problems and find pragmatic solutions (sustainable and efficient)
• Communication: Clear and transparent communication, written as well as spoken. Fluent in English, German is a plus
