Head of Academic Excellence

To look after the Students’ Academic Performance and strive towards their academic excellence as per the requirements and needs of each student at their educational entities, also to look after their social development and extracurricular activities, to help nurture their academic and personal development, healthy habits and any other duties required within the scope of the role of Head of Academic Excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Looking after the academic development and progress of four (4) students currently in Grades 2, 6, 10, and 11.
• Developing educational skills (daily reading of books, articles suitable to student age).
• Liaise with schoolteachers and school administration for any requirement, ensuring students are at the top of their academic excellence development.
• Ensure students’ educational program is followed as per timetable and allow for smooth and flawless routine.
• Homework assistant for all subjects.
• Home tutoring.
• Extra-curricular activities support.
• Help with entrepreneurial projects or initiatives as well as charity and social entrepreneurial project that will enhance their development and profile in preparation for university and beyond.
• Confer with parents to determine any specific educational requirements for childminding, based on each student’s specific needs.
• Provide solid and periodic written feedback to parents regarding students’ abilities and limitations and offer suggestions for improvements.
• Prepare students for exams and school assessments.
• Encourage students to work and complete their studies independently and in a timely fashion.
• Ascertain that all assigned students follow set rules for studies and ensure that their environments are conducive to learning in comfort.
• Attend Parents/Teacher meetings on behalf of the client and attend to all email communications from schools.
• Manage the schedule, pay, objectives and deliverables for all other academic and extracurricular activities tutors/instructors.

Social development objectives:

• Organize and keep track of the children’s extracurricular activities.
• Develop social skills, public speaking, and self-presenting in various environments.
• Develop self-confidence and the ability to find solutions to any problem in an educational environment.
• Build teamwork and collaboration among siblings.
• Engage students in conversation to determine their specific likes and dislikes in the learning process to ensure that a suitable program and approach to teaching have been chosen.

Work Schedules:

• Sundays to Thursdays: 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm
• Friday and Saturday are considered days off. Hours can be changed depending on requirements and any changes is subject to approval from the client.

• Annual Leave: 30 days of paid annual leave. Vacation dates are to be mutually agreed upon with the family in advance to ensure minimal disruption to the students’ academic and extracurricular schedules.

• Annual Airfare: A return air ticket to the employee’s home country will be provided once per year.
• Bonus: 0-3 times of your monthly gross salary based on performance every year.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a English Language Teacher at the high school level, with the ability to support students in both foundational and advanced English language concepts.
• Extensive experience in teaching the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, particularly in English Language.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic—strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
