A leading Australian IT consultancy is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their high-performing, people-first team. As an AWS Advanced Services Partner, the company delivers innovative cloud solutions across enterprise and Government projects. In this role, you’ll design, build, and optimise scalable, secure AWS infrastructure while collaborating with talented professionals on modern software delivery pipelines.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure AWS Cloud Infrastructure.
- Provide expert input into automated provisioning, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD) strategies.
- Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Utilise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and CDK for efficient infrastructure orchestration.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical design documentation.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, meticulously identifying and logging issues.
- Create change management procedures and implementation plans, carefully considering impacts on existing systems.
- Providing support during implementation phases.
- Collaborating closely with development teams to integrate DevOps and DevSecOps best practices throughout the software lifecycle.
What You Bring
- 3–5+ years in DevOps roles, ideally in consulting environments
- Deep experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.)
- Strong skills in networking, security, and AWS IAM/VPC configuration
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of AWS Landing Zones and cloud migration strategies
- Familiarity with Agile/DevOps workflows and collaborative tooling
