About the Company - Workyard is a growing startup based out of the Bay Area, operating in the construction industry where $300 billion is spent annually on labor. We are developing an industry changing technology SaaS solution to manage labor for construction companies. Through a unique approach into the market, we are fundamentally changing the experience for both companies and workers by adding trust, transparency, and technology to the labor management process.


About the Role - With an ambitious product roadmap ahead, we are looking for a Product Designer with extensive experience working on SaaS products to own end-to-end product design. As a design-centric company, this is a highly valued, critical role and will report to our Head of Product/Co-Founder. This is a hybrid role: 2 days in our Sydney office (Surry Hills), 3 days remote.



Responsibilities


  • Information Architecture: Develop user flows and wireframes to effectively organize user journeys and functionality
  • Visual Design: Create engaging visual designs that reflect our brand identity and enhance usability
  • Prototyping: Build interactive prototypes to demonstrate design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders and customers
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure alignment between design and functionality
  • Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design



Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4-6 years of UI/UX design experience in software, ideally SaaS-based products or equivalent, and across platforms (web and mobile)
  • Proven experience in UI/UX with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite or similar software
  • Proficient in handing off and communicate designs to engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly
  • Self-motivated and able to efficiently run with a project without close supervision
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment



Pay range and compensation package - Compensation: $140k-$160k + super + equity
