UX Designer Autobahn (f/m/x)
Position Overview

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

Autobahn Platform is Deutsche Bank's digital multi-channel gateway to its products and services for Corporate and Institutional clients. The focus for this position will be the Autobahn Design System: defining the design system strategy based on product demand and industry best practices, collecting requirements from 70+ projects, creating new design components and UX patterns in Figma, creating, and updating documentation. As well as establish design standards and principles accompanying the design system for scalability, efficiency, and consistency. Evaluate and improve accessibility of components and be a champion for the user. Presenting your work to the design community and explaining your design process and rationale. Have an excellent working knowledge of product design, visual design, interaction design, and branding.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the design system strategy based on product demand and industry best practices. Adhering, and contributing, to the Autobahn Design Pattern Library components and standards to help evolve the design language further, knowing how the Agile methodology is applied across the entire UX and development process.
  • Be in touch with multiple project teams that use Autobahn Design system, getting the requirements, understanding product cases and helping the teams to adopt the Design system.
  • Provide UX-leadership, governance, coaching, mentorship, and guidance within the project team and across the business whilst investigating user experience design requirements, with a user-centred approach based upon customer insights.
  • Make strategic UX decisions related to core, and new Design system functions, features by asking smart questions, taking risks and championing new ideas, liaising with stakeholders and running workshops.


Skills:

  • Work experience in creating complex design systems, relevant portfolio. Expected to be incredibly driven and passionate about creating and building amazing design system as well as digital products.
  • Specific requirement for this position is profound knowledge of Figma app (tokens, component structure, prototyping).
  • Active collaboration with the development team requires experience in running product discoveries and working at pace in Agile sprint cycles & SDLC. Knowledge in HTML, CSS and other technology would be a bonus for this role. Testing designs and applying web accessibility standards (WCAG) during a project and using data to continuously improve products and services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills (in English), whilst feeling comfortable working with, shaping and leading, consistent design standards and experience libraries and bringing brand language into UI work.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, whilst partnering with Product Managers, Designers, Commercial and Development Teams to constantly improve the Design system in a collaborative cross-functional team environment, a team player who can work independently and supporting strategic development.
  • Create documentation (UX/UI documentation for components and patterns, be familiar with site architecture, wire frames, use cases and task flows).
