About the Role

We’re looking for a Backend Developer with a strong foundation in modern backend technologies and a keen interest in observability, availability & performance, and scalable systems. You'll play a crucial role in optimizing how we monitor, deploy, and maintain high-availability services — while writing clean, reliable backend code.

This is a high-impact consulting role where you'll dive into real systems from day one: contributing to our observability framework, enhancing performance across backend services, and ensuring systems align with service-level objectives and internal rulebooks.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain backend services in Java Spring Boot, Golang, and related systems
• Optimize performance, reliability, and compliance of backend systems
• Contribute to test automation and CI/CD orchestration (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
• Drive progressive rollout and rollback strategies (Argo Rollouts, ConfigCat)
• Collaborate with product teams to enable faster, safer delivery cycles
• Share knowledge and promote backend and DevOps best practices across teams

About You

• You’re a backend-focused engineer with production experience in Java, Go, or similar languages
• Comfortable with containerized environments and microservices architecture (Kubernetes, AWS)
• You’ve worked with observability tools (preferably Datadog) and care about system health
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and release strategies
• Thrive in fast-paced environments and are quick to find structure in ambiguity
• Based in Stockholm — or open to occasional travel if remote

• Backend: Java Spring Boot, Golang, PostgreSQL (incl. Liquibase), Kafka
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, AWS, Istio, Redis, AWS Aurora
• Observability: Datadog, SLO/SLA, ConfigCat
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts
• Testing: Automated CI pipelines, integration & E2E testing
