Role Overview
Network Engineers are responsible for the infrastructure that connects users to the Client's services. This network transits traffic for all tenants of Client's serving infrastructure, including our in-house multi-exabyte storage system (Magic Pocket), large-scale databases, edge POP
infrastructure, and all user-facing services. As part of the Production Networking team, you will help manage global-scale network infrastructure while driving improvements in reliability and efficiency. This role focuses on strengthening the production network by driving the execution of key security, compliance, and observability efforts. As a member of the Production Networking team, you will take ownership of a range of high-impact workstreams, including maintaining and improving ACL enforcement, access control policies, infrastructure observability, and vulnerability
mitigation efforts in close coordination with infrastructure and security partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Evolve the production network (AS19679) to support new and existing use cases that
maximize product velocity.
- Lead and execute infrastructure rollout efforts across global POPs, data centers, and the
backbone network
- Own the execution and validation of ACL updates across the global network and
Maintain oversight of network access controls
- Contribute to and support security audits and compliance efforts
- Collaborate on vulnerability management, including patching and mitigation workflows,
including patching and mitigation strategies
- Drive improvements to infrastructure observability, logging, and monitoring
- Work closely with security and infrastructure teams during incidents or risk reviews
related to networking posture
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on security
- Strong familiarity with network platforms and hardware (e.g., Juniper, Cisco, Arista)
- Proficiency in core networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF/ISIS, and IPv4/IPv6
- Solid experience with network security policies and access control enforcement across
large-scale environments.
- Familiarity with large-scale production networks, including change validation,
operational rigor, and incident response support.
Preferred Skills
- Strong organizational and execution skills with attention to detail in structured change
workflows
- Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
- Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, Ansible) to streamline repetitive
security and audit tasks.
- Experience with infrastructure observability tools and platforms
- Familiarity with vulnerability management tools, audit frameworks, and risk assessment
processes
