Front Office Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Front Office RAD Developer with a strong aptitude for programming in financial industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in Capital Markets, which manages information systems for capital markets activities, which includes Front Office (FO) booking platforms & etc. The candidate will be involved in significant exposure to Financial Markets and requires a sense of independence and ability to work within a challenging environment.

Mandatory Skill-set

• 10 years’ experience of IT development for the financial industry with Front Office experience
• Must have good understanding of Capital Markets Domain and market activities.
• Must have technical proficiency in tools such as: SQL, C#, Python, React.js, CICD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible)
• Must have functional Experience on Non-linear Rates, FX, Credit, Repo with proficiency in trading lifecycle and market data.Knowledge of credit risk and derivatives such as credit default swaps (CDS) on APAC corporate bonds, credit-linked notes (CLN), auto callable structured products and USD-denominated as well as Emerging Market bond pricing.
• Expertise in pricing and modelling derivatives like SGD SOR swaptions, USD SOFR-linked products, caps/floors, and callable bonds, with an emphasis on Asia-Pacific yield curves, regional rate dynamics, and callable product structures.
• Strong grasp of long-term FX modelling, cross-currency products involving JPY, financial mathematics, and risk metrics (e.g., VaR, Greeks), tailored to SGD, USD, AUD and JPY-based products, with familiarity of Singapore’s trading conventions and benchmarks.
• Understanding of kubernetes and docker and any cloud platform: Container and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes), public IaaS providers (Azure, AWS - preferred, Google Cloud)

Responsibilities

• Actively collaborate with traders to identify opportunities for automation and enhancements to existing tools and processes, driving operational efficiency across the desk.
• Take ownership of the full IT delivery lifecycle—from gathering requirements and designing solutions, to implementation, production deployment, and live support—while adhering to IT best practices for safety and reliability.
• Front Office Support (First Line) - Provide responsive and high-quality support for urgent trading tool issues, primarily involving Excel/VBA and Python-based applications.
• Partner with peers across Asia and the central development team in Europe to consolidate and evolve the FO technical environment into a cohesive, simplified, and efficient platform.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, enhance code safety, and improve the quality of business deliverables.
• Understand the functional and technical requirements of desks trading Vanilla and Exotic Rates Products, ensuring solutions are aligned with front-office objectives.
• Participate in building new tools and industrialising/enhancing existing ones, in line with commando team standards. Development is primarily in Python (backend) with Excel (frontend) interfaces.
• Ensure full adherence to all legal, regulatory, and internal compliance policies, including but not limited to the London Compliance Manual, Financial Security protocols, and Financial Crime prevention guidelines.
• Maintain up-to-date professional knowledge and complete all mandatory compliance training to remain fully qualified for the role.
