JOB TITLE: Project Manager

DEPARTMENT: Strategy and Transformation

JOB FUNCTION: We are looking for a hands on project manager who can drive the planning and execution of projects across all areas of the club.

LOCATION: Stamford Bridge, London

CONTRACT: Permanent 35 hours, Monday - Friday


PLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities):

  • Lead Club-wide projects from start to completion using best-in-class methodologies.
  • Support the planning, design, execution and monitoring of projects across all departments of the club, including providing project status updates and delivering against reporting requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with department stakeholders to ensure projects deliver against objectives and are completed in time and within budget.

HERE TO WIN (Measures of Performance):

  • Implement programme and project management best-practice framework including standards, governance and tools to specific projects.
  • Work with departmental teams to identify project requirements and target outcomes, and put in place project plans to deliver these.
  • Day-to-day management of multiple projects.
  • Work with departmental teams to identify key challenges and risks to project delivery, and identify mitigations and, where appropriate, escalations.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to delivery resources on project delivery best-practice.
  • Drive status reporting across ongoing programmes and projects.
  • Monitor project performance and progress to ensure timely delivery, holding stakeholders to account against delivery timelines and target project outcomes.
  • Provide ad-hoc analytical support for project teams.

Essential:

  • Excellent analytical skills and an aptitude for problem solving.
  • Experience of delivering cross-functional projects, working across all aspects of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience of working with multiple projects at the same time.
  • Solid understanding of best practice programme and project delivery methods.
  • Data analysis and report preparation experience.
  • Open, flexible, and approachable manner.
  • Ability to navigate stakeholders with different priorities and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of project management tools and software.
  • Ability to work under time-pressure and hold stakeholders to account.
