PHP Developer

HeyBlu is a consumer credit business created by eMAG, starting in Romania and planning to expand to other CEE markets. The main ambition is to build a regional fintech champion offering credit @ point of sale solutions, aiming to lead through the best user experience in the market. As part of the Prosus group, HeyBlu shares the same purpose: „Improving everyday life for billions of people through technology”.

What you’ll have to do:

·      Code Development: Create high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code while having a broader architectural vision.

·      Application Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and support multiple applications across various platforms.

·      Proactive Improvement: Maintain a proactive mindset, staying updated with the latest technologies and best practices. Identify areas for improvement and propose viable solutions.

·      Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other technical team members to design, implement, troubleshoot, and resolve critical issues.

How we’d like you to be:  

Required Skills and Experience:

·      With PHP Expertise: 3+ years of experience in a PHP environment.

·      With Object-Oriented Programming experience (OOP): Experience with OOP, including the use of namespaces, traits, and interfaces, with a strong understanding of encapsulation, abstraction, inheritance, and polymorphism.

·      With Design Patterns knowledge: Knowledge of design patterns such as Dependency Injection, Factory, Builder, Observer, and Facade.

·      With Solution Architecture experience: Experience with scalability, service-oriented design, and application configuration (parameter ranges, number of rounds, skill chances).

·      With PHP Frameworks knowledge: Symfony or Laravel.

·      With Automated Testing experience: Experience with automated testing tools like PHPUnit.

·      With Database Management knowledge: Proficiency in MySQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Couchbase).

·      With Messaging and Parallel Processing knowledge: Understanding of AMQP (e.g., RabbitMQ) and parallel processing in PHP.

·      With Version Control experience: Experience with Git/Stash.

·      With Environment Management knowledge: Knowledge of Linux and Docker.

·      With API Development experience: Experience with REST APIs and documentation tools (e.g., Swagger).

·      With Soft Skills: Flexible, communicative, and a real team player. Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and adapt to a fast-evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

·      With Mambu experience: Experience with https://mambu.com/.

·      With Payment Integration experience: Experience with payment-related projects (e.g., PayU payment service).

·      With Domain Driven Design (DDD) experience: Experience with DDD projects.

·      With Advanced Testing Tools knowledge: Familiarity with Cypress, Testcafe.

·      With Agile Environment experience: Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.

·      With Performance Monitoring experience: Use of performance, monitoring, and logging tools (e.g., Kibana, NewRelic).

·      With Automation Tools experience: Experience with automation tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Puppet, Ansible).

·      With Cloud and Container Orchestration experience: Experience with cloud services and container orchestration (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes).
