Data Analyst & Business Intelligence Specialist

Role Description

The role bridges the business and development teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment. The primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, gathering and documenting requirements, and supporting data lake activities, with a strong focus on data warehouse design and tabular model development.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements for new reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• Communicate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and technical constraints.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure proper implementation of data requirements for reports.
• Participate in QA validations and deploy test scripts and regression tests.
• Ensure data quality and performance consistency in dashboards, suggesting optimizations.
• Align reporting solutions with business needs and technical feasibility.
• Guide and educate business teams on data and reporting best practices.
• Provide support for data preparations activities, including requirement gathering, documentation, and deployment preparation.

Hard Skills

• Basic SQL skills (Select, Where, Joins, Group By) using SQL Management Studio/Azure Data Studio.
• Basic principles of Power BI and Power Query.
• Data Warehouse Modeling knowledge (Dimensions, Facts, Star-Schema/Snowflake, Slow Changing Dimensions, Normalization/Denormalization, Object Relationships, Data Types).
• Experience in designing tabular models.
• Understanding of ETL principles and data warehouse structures.
• Understanding of Azure Synapse, Databricks and Azure Data Lake is not mandatory but is considered a plus.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in a Business Analyst, BI Analyst, or Data Analyst role.
• Experience working with internal stakeholders and development teams.
• General understanding of Manufacturing Processes Reporting.
• Data literacy and knowledge of data processing principles.
• English proficiency sufficient for discussing business requirements with stakeholders.
• Experience in BI analytics and reporting automation projects.
