FPGA Design Engineer – High-Performance Logic Design | Hybrid – Wrocław, Poland

We're seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to join our client’s high-impact development team focused on building advanced digital solutions for industrial, telecom, and defense applications. You'll work with experienced engineers to take ideas from concept to verified RTL and synthesis on leading FPGA platforms.

This is a hybrid position based in Wrocław, a growing center for embedded and digital systems talent in Central Europe.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, implement, and verify digital logic blocks using VHDL and/or Verilog
• Collaborate with systems engineers to define functional specifications and architecture
• Perform synthesis, timing analysis, and resource optimization using FPGA toolchains (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus)
• Integrate IP cores and develop custom interfaces for high-speed peripherals (e.g., PCIe, DDR, Ethernet)
• Simulate and debug RTL using tools like ModelSim, Questa, or Vivado Simulator
• Support board bring-up and lab testing, working closely with PCB and hardware teams

What You Bring:

• Solid experience in FPGA development using VHDL/Verilog
• Familiarity with Xilinx or Intel/Altera FPGA platforms
• Proficiency in RTL design, synthesis, constraints, and timing closure
• Experience with simulation, verification, and debugging tools
• Ability to read schematics and work with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in cross-functional teams

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of high-speed protocols (e.g., PCIe, JESD204B, AXI)
• Experience with soft-core processors (e.g., MicroBlaze, Nios II)
• Background in DSP implementation or signal processing blocks
• Exposure to embedded C/C++ for firmware co-design
