SENIOR IOS DEVELOPER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior iOS Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Poland. Our client is the largest airport television network, with 2,500+ screens in 90 commercial airports and 58 private/FBO airports across North America. They leverage various data and tech that enable targeting messaging, offer shopability, and allow viewers to continue watching TV content on their mobile devices. The client works with brands like Belvedere, Netflix, Sony, TikTok, Hilton, and Bose to innovate and create the best opportunities to connect with the world’s tastemakers.

We’re looking for candidates with strong geofencing and geo-targeting expertise and solid experience in media playback. It could include native media players (such as AVKit or ExoPlayer) or browser-based playback using an embedded WebView, depending on the architecture. Ideally, you should be comfortable with both approaches, as the implementation may involve native playback for performance and more profound control, while supporting web-based video content when appropriate. The rest of the requirements are relatively straightforward — we’re simply looking for someone up-to-date with the current mobile technology stack. You’ll join the team specializing in geo-location services, active geo-targeting, and advanced media playback (live and on-demand video). You will build high-performance mobile experiences that intelligently respond to users’ real-world locations and deliver dynamic video content through an embedded media player. In addition to core features, you will help integrate surveys, coupon delivery systems, and location-driven personalized offers within the app.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on iOS development experience using Swift.
• Strong expertise in Core Location frameworks: CLLocationManager, CLRegion, CLBeaconRegion, visit monitoring, background location updates; Battery optimization strategies for location services.
• Solid experience in video/media playback: Proficiency with AVKit, HLS streaming, video caching, adaptive bitrate handling; Experience with live video integration preferred.
• Strong understanding of Swift Concurrency (async/await), Combine, and modern Swift best practices.
• Experience with SwiftUI and UIKit (depending on feature set).
• Familiarity with background task scheduling using BGTaskScheduler.
• Solid understanding of integrating surveys, forms, or lightweight user feedback modules into mobile flows.
• Understanding of secure coupon redemption flows and location-based offer delivery.

• Experience integrating third-party location SDKs (Radar.io, Mapbox, HERE, or similar).
• Exposure to BLE, iBeacons, and Wi-Fi RTT positioning.
• Familiarity with privacy standards like GDPR, CCPA, and Apple’s location privacy guidelines.
• Previous experience with background push notifications and deep linking.
• Experience in hybrid mobile app development (Flutter/React Native).
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design and develop native iOS applications focusing on real-time location detection, active targeting, and media content delivery.
• Integrate and manage background location tracking, geofencing, and event-driven geo-targeting using Core Location and third-party SDKs.
• Implement video playback functionality, including live streams and recorded content, using AVKit or custom players.
• Integrate survey modules and coupon/offer distribution systems triggered by location events.
• Optimize apps for background activity, battery performance, and Apple privacy policies (ATT, background tasks, location permissions).
• Collaborate closely with backend and product teams to align location-triggered content delivery and real-time analytics.
• Write clean, modular, testable code following modern iOS architectures (Swift Concurrency, MVVM, Combine).
