About the Role

Our Client is seeking a Technical Project Manager with deep fullstack programming experience and a proven ability to drive complex technical initiatives across cloud-native, microservices-driven environments. This role sits at the intersection of engineering execution and project leadership — equivalent in seniority to a Development Manager — with a primary focus on planning, coordination, and delivery rather than active coding.

This opportunity is ideal for a former fullstack engineer (NodeJS, ReactJS, Python) with hands-on experience in containerization and Kubernetes orchestration who is passionate about transitioning into technical leadership and project ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end planning, scheduling, execution, and tracking of major technical projects and product releases.
• Fullstack Understanding: Use strong knowledge of NodeJS, ReactJS, and Python in a microservices architecture to deeply understand technical dependencies, risks, and project scoping.
• Release Coordination: Own the release management process and orchestrate collaboration between engineering, product management, and QA/QC to ensure smooth, timely, high-quality software deliveries.
• Technical Risk Management: Identify architectural, scalability, or integration risks early and drive mitigation strategies.
• Containerization Expertise: Partner with DevOps and engineering teams on Docker and Kubernetes deployment initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the communication bridge between technical teams, leadership, and stakeholders, translating technical goals into actionable project roadmaps.
• Agile Execution: Champion agile practices, facilitate sprint ceremonies, manage backlogs, and promote a continuous delivery mindset.
• Process Optimization: Analyze and improve project workflows, delivery pipelines, and team collaboration practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in software development and/or technical project management within SaaS or cloud-native environments.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with fullstack development using NodeJS, ReactJS, and Python.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native design principles.
• Practical experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration in production.
• Proven success managing complex technical projects and product release cycles in agile environments.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and software release cycles.
• Proficiency with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, ClickUp, or similar.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience leading SaaS product rollouts or platform migrations.
• Familiarity with Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
• Agile certifications (Scrum Master, PMI-ACP) or PMP.
• Experience scaling software teams in startup or high-growth environments.
