As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll help shape the technology landscape for key projects in the UAE, reporting directly to the onshore Software Engineering Manager. You'll develop rich web interfaces using JavaScript and React/Angular/Vue, build backend components in Java, and manage end-to-end code ownership—from development to production. You'll also drive continuous integration using tools like Jenkins and Git, contribute within an agile team, uphold coding best practices, and make sound technical decisions with confidence.

Responsibilities

Directly report to the onshore Software Engineering Manager for the assigned project within the UAE.
Proactively work within an agile team on a service-oriented architecture.
Implement rich web interface development using JavaScript, HTML-5, CSS3, VueJS, Angular.
Implement software components developments using Java, Maven, Vert.X, Spring Boot, REST.
Take part in Continuous Integration Responsibility using Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, Git, Jira, Sonar.
Have ownership of your code and participate in its deployment to production.
Enforce Code best practices and rules, TDD, time commitments.
Take technical decisions and justify your own and the team choices.
Write high-quality documents such as technical documents, Low Level Design, ICDs etc.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in development with high fluency in Java and Web user interface development.
Hands-on experience in JAVA development and JavaScript frameworks (one of Angular, ReactJS or VueJS).
Strong knowledge of different architectural paradigms including SOA and microservice.
Experience in using tools related to Agile Software development and DevOPS: GIT, Ansible, Docker etc.
Technical writing experience (in English) with ability to produce high-quality documents.
Fluency in English.
Knowledge and experience of Linux System.
Knowledge and experience of Databases and SQL.
Additional knowledge in Python, C, C++ is a plus.
