About This Team

The Junior Designer for Men’s Outerwear role sits within Outerwear Design. Our team's core values include trust, support, and courage with good intentions. Our goal is to create world class athletic & fashion Outerwear, including Outerwear that is acknowledged as leading in innovation, design, function, fit and quality.

A Day In The Life

Under the mentorship of and collaboration with the Senior Designer, Design Manager and Design VP, you create and develop the designs for Outerwear from inception of ideas to production.

  • You are responsible for designing and executing seasonal Outerwear collections that reflect lululemon’s design ethos.
  • You combine active product user experience, market knowledge, trend research, and collaboration between lululemon designers to create functional, innovative, quality designs.
  • Teamwork and clear communication are essential.
  • You work cross functionally within design, product development, raw materials development, merchandising, sourcing, color/print/graphic and design operations, ensuring your teams have the most up to date product information, gates and dates are kept ‘on-time and in-full’.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years relevant industry experience in product design with focus on Men’s Outerwear.
  • Strong knowledge of technical Outerwear construction, patterning, textiles, trims, technology and trend through research, travel and product user experience.
  • BA, BFA or BS in (apparel) Design required (or equivalent)
  • Proficient in Adobe suite, especially Illustrator, Excel, Word, Mac platform
  • An understanding in 3D design would be an asset.

Authorization to work in Canada is required for this role.

Compensation And Benefits Package

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $64,100 – $84,100 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
