Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced IBM API Connect Developer to join our team for a prestigious onsite project in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM API Connect, and a strong background in the banking domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and manage APIs using IBM API Connect.
Integrate APIs with backend systems and third-party services.
Implement and manage API policies including security, throttling, analytics, and versioning.
Collaborate with architects and backend teams to ensure robust and scalable integration solutions.
Monitor and maintain deployed APIs, troubleshooting issues and ensuring high availability.
Follow best practices for API lifecycle management, testing, and deployment.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and technical design discussions.
Ensure compliance with banking security standards and data protection regulations.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with IBM API Connect v10 or later.
Proficient in RESTful APIs, OpenAPI (Swagger), and JSON/XML.
Experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API security.
Experience in the banking or financial services domain is mandatory.
Good understanding of integration protocols: HTTP, SOAP, MQ, JMS, etc.
Working knowledge of API Gateway, DataPower, and Cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, Azure, or AWS) is a plus.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
