Middle AWS Cloud Engineer

Forte Group is looking for AWS Cloud Engineer to join our client’s high-performing team and be responsible for developing well thought out, clean and maintainable code.

Work schedule: till 9 PM Kyiv time

Responsibilities:

• Write clean and maintainable code in a fast-paced environment

• Provide estimates for the work that you will be doing then meet those estimates

• Participate in all required agile ceremonies

• Quickly identify and track down bugs and implement the most effective solution

• Provide input as required to the planning, requirements definition, and design process for new features

• Provide consistent communication regarding status to both the Engineering and Business teams

Skills and Competencies:

• Proven experience architecting cloud solutions using core AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, Glue, Athena, RDS)

• Strong understanding of serverless design patterns and event-driven architecture

• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, including module creation and reusable components

• Extensive experience Python scripting for automation and AWS SDK usage

• Experience using Git for version control and GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation

• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and cloud-native deployment pipelines

• Ability to optimize cloud costs and performance through architectural decisions and tooling

• Comfortable working in fast-paced agile environments with cross-functional teams

• Understanding of database concepts, including SQL tuning and performance optimization

• Exposure to MySQL stored procedures and database scripting (nice to have)

• Familiarity with Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) integration is a plus

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed systems

• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional) strongly preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Upper-Intermediate level of English language
