Software Engineer – Full Stack & Product Lead
Company: Reso Health
Location: Hybrid with offices in Tramore, Waterford
Type: Full-time
Reports to: Co-founders
The Role
This is a hands-on, full-stack position with a strong product focus. You’ll be leading the development of our mobile app and backend platform—owning everything from how users log in and track their health to how the app communicates with our smart dispenser.
You’ll be our first software hire, so you’ll have a lot of freedom—and a lot of responsibility. But if you like being close to the product, owning your work, and building something from 0 to 1, you’ll feel right at home.
What You’ll Do
- Build and scale the mobile app that powers our personalized nutrition system.
- Create a clean, reliable backend platform that connects users, devices, and data.
- Develop API integrations with the hardware and external services (e.g. health trackers like Apple Health or Fitbit).
- Collaborate with design, product, and hardware teams to create a seamless experience across software and physical devices.
- Own architecture decisions and help define our long-term tech stack.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code—across front end and back end.
- Set up CI/CD pipelines, data storage, user auth, and system monitoring from scratch (with help where needed).
- Contribute to product direction and help shape the future of the team.
What You Bring
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of full stack experience, ideally with strong front-end skills and a product mindset.
- Experience building mobile apps in React Native or Flutter.
- Strong back-end skills in Node.js, Python, or similar, plus comfort with cloud platforms (Firebase, AWS, GCP, etc).
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Great product sense—you think about users, not just features.
- Startup-ready: comfortable with ambiguity, fast iterations, and lots of ownership.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience integrating wearables or health data APIs (Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin, etc).
- Previous work with IoT or connected hardware (e.g., smart home, health devices).
- Understanding of Bluetooth / BLE protocols.
- Experience working on wellness, medtech, or consumer health products.
- Previous early-stage or founding team experience.
What We Offer
- A founding-level role with significant ownership, impact, and share options.
- Competitive salary + flexibility (hybrid, async-friendly, and output-driven).
- A chance to help build a product from the ground up—with full-stack freedom and creative input.
- Collaboration with passionate, experienced people across tech, science, and design.
- The opportunity to build something that actually helps people live healthier lives.
