The Anti-cheat team at Embark comprises a set of disparate but complementary disciplines, including game development, internal tooling, backend- and data engineering, and machine learning. Most of us work across more than one of these domains. Being a core function supporting all of Embark Studios, we collaborate with many different stakeholders throughout the organisation, such as game teams, legal, and community management.
As an Anti-cheat Data Analyst you will be part of a small, cross-functional team with a mission to keep Embark games fair and safe from cheating and exploiting. In this role you will use your data analytics, and communication skills on a wide set of problems, including exploring user behavior and formulate hypotheses, visualizing expected effects from new rules, and creating reports and dashboards.
You are likely curious to learn new skills, and enjoy working autonomously and taking initiatives while also collaborating within and across teams. The cheating scene is constantly evolving and you are motivated more by constantly adapting our counter-measures and helping players enjoy fair play, than by finding a final solution to a fixed problem.
Example Of Responsibilities
We welcome game makers of all sex, class, colour, age, gender identity, education, religion, opinion, culture, nation of origin, language, sexual orientation, shape, size, and ability.
Did we leave anyone out? Well, we welcome you, too! We think that the gaming industry is made better when everyone has a seat at the table.
Be yourself at Embark and make games while doing so. Please apply with confidence. We can’t wait to hear from you (in English)!
If this role doesn't quite match what you're looking for, feel free to apply to us via our "Open Application."
