We are looking for a driven and energetic Omani local individual to participate in a paid internship program and join our team.
This intern will support our customer’s IT Asset Management team in tracking, managing, and optimizing the company's software assets. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain practical experience in a corporate IT environment, develop a deeper understanding of software lifecycle management, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. You will have the mentorship and guidance from experienced IT professionals, which will help in professional development and an opportunity to expand your professional network.
This position also has the possibility for future employment opportunities based on performance.
Duration and location:
Immediate start date, with a One-year work duration (extendable), in Muscat Oman.
Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining the software asset inventory, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
Support the tracking and management of software licenses, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and company policies.
Help in conducting software audits and reconciliation processes to identify discrepancies and ensure proper usage.
Assist in the development and implementation of software asset management policies and procedures.
Collaborate with various departments to gather requirements and provide insights for software acquisition and deployment.
Participate in the review and analysis of software usage data to identify optimization opportunities.
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations on software asset management activities.
Support the IT team in responding to software-related queries and troubleshooting issues as needed.
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to software asset management.
Qualification:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proactive and eager to learn new concepts and technologies.
