AI ARCHITECT

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for an AI Architect for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is an AI robotics company committed to uplifting humanity by building the world’s most productive and responsible robots that perform dangerous and demanding tasks for the exterior cleaning, concrete, and construction industries. The drones can clean up to 8x faster, and due to customer demand, they also launched a ground-based pressure-washing robot to complement the cleaning drone. Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, the company engineers, manufactures, and supports customers nationwide who use the robots to clean properties safely and efficiently daily.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Chief AI Officer, CEO, and technical leadership to shape a platform that supports internal product development and intelligent automation at scale. This role is for someone who has “seen it all” in the traditional software world – CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, large-scale deployments – and is hungry to reinvent it all through an AI-first lens. You’ll thrive here if you’re passionate about building autonomous systems that do the work previously done by large teams: writing code, reviewing pull requests, updating dependencies, deploying safely, and iterating in real-time. You’ll design the architecture that makes this possible.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering or systems architecture, with a deep understanding of traditional SDLC.
• Expertise in designing large-scale CI/CD pipelines and developer platforms.
• Familiarity with emerging AI dev tooling: Cursor, Copilot, GPT-4-based agents, or similar.
• Strong software design and architecture understanding, especially in modular, service-oriented systems.
• Solid understanding of building resilient, observable, and secure infrastructure on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Experience building platforms that abstract complexity and empower others to move faster.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in ambiguity and ship quickly.
• A systems thinker with deep experience in traditional software engineering who also sees the future: AI-native developer environments, agentic pipelines, and self-healing, self-deploying infrastructure.

• Solid knowledge of LLM-based toolchains, embeddings, function-calling, and memory architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the vision and implementation of fully autonomous software development pipelines.
• Architect the core tooling and workflows that allow the company (and the bots) to build, test, deploy, and learn autonomously.
• Design and implement AI-native development workflows: autonomous agents that write, test, ship, and improve code.
• Architect intelligent pipelines that work across domains—from internal software tools to real-world robotics systems.
• Evaluate and integrate modern dev tools (like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Code Interpreter-style agents, etc.) into a cohesive platform.
• Build secure, observable, scalable systems supporting continuous learning and feedback loops.
• Define standards for agentic development across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and embedded systems (if applicable).
• Partner with engineers, product teams, and leadership to align AI capabilities with business outcomes.
• Lead proof-of-concepts and production rollouts for autonomous code pipelines.
• Act as the technical thought leader on AI development tooling within the company.
• Deliver a functional, intelligent development pipeline that dramatically accelerates product velocity.
• Demonstrate early wins with autonomous agents that perform real, measurable work.
• Drive the company toward being an AI-native company, not just in product, but in process.
• Influence team-wide adoption of AI-first tooling and workflows through clarity, coaching, and systems leadership.
