Data Scientist

Sibling is looking for a Data Scientist for a leading insurer in Brussels, Belgium. This will be a long-term freelance assignment.

Role

• Designing, developing, and implementing AI/data-driven solutions tailored to business needs using internal and external data.
• Extracting and communicating actionable insights to support decision-making and problem-solving.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address data-related challenges.
• Continuously monitoring model accuracy and proactively identifying and fixing issues or data drifts.

Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, ideally within a commercial/business context.
• Hands-on expertise in AI, GenAI, computer vision, NLP, and/or deep learning.
• Advanced skills in Python, SQL, Power BI, and Databricks.
• Excellent communication skills – you can clearly present complex data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluency in French or Dutch, and English.
• Hybrid Working
