As a Senior Digital Product Designer (UX/UI) at itsme®, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience for its more than 7 million users. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketeers, to create intuitive and accessible designs that meet the needs of our users.
What your job looks like
- Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, developers, and stakeholders to shape new features from concept to launch
- Clearly document and communicate design decisions to stakeholders across all levels, including leadership and development teams
- Contribute to the overall product experience and long-term design vision
- Translate user needs and business goals into clear, intuitive, and engaging designs
- Create wireframes, wireflows, and high- and low-fidelity prototypes (primarily in Figma)
- Ensure consistency with our design system while driving innovation where appropriate
- Identify gaps in the design system and define requirements for new or updated components in collaboration with the design system owner
- Plan and conduct user research and usability testing, together with our (external) UX research partners, to inform and validate design decisions
- Leverage user insights and data to guide and support design choices
- Advocate for user needs while balancing technical constraints and business goals
- Work closely with product managers and functional analysts during the feature refinement phase to ensure all business and user needs are clear
- Work closely with developers during implementation to ensure high-quality execution of designs
- Stay up to date with trends and best practices in UX/UI, product design, and user behaviour
- Apply meaningful placeholder copy in designs to support copywriting
- Design with accessibility in mind, ensuring compliance with European Accessibility Guidelines
Whom we are looking for
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Digital Product Designer or similar role.
- Capable of collaborating effectively within a team while also demonstrating the ability to independently manage your workload
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and UX best practices
- Profound knowledge of mobile-first design patterns
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital design projects, including mobile app design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe CS and Figma.
- Ability to effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
