The successful candidate will be a core member of the I&C team and will play a crucial role in designing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining the systems and equipment used to monitor and control industrial processes and machinery.

The location of this position can be either Little Island, Co. Cork or Maynooth, Co. Kildare.

Explore Your Tasks And Responsibilities

• Be part of a multidiscipline design team
• Lead the I&C aspects of projects across multiple offices.
• Manage and develop more junior engineers as part of your project team
• Participate in interactive planning and schedule maintenance
• Estimating and defining, quantifying I&C deliverables of projects from Concept to Detailed Design.
• Review and input to P&ID’s
• Have full competence of all project deliverables including:
• Control philosophy generation
• Scope of Works
• Data sheet generation
• TBA’s
• Instrument Index
• I/O lists
• Schedules including panel, tubing & cable, system architecture drawings, panel drawings, loop sheets, termination drawings, location and hook up drawings etc.
• Be able to manage the I&C part of 3D modelling including model reviews, panel locations, cable containment, clash checks etc.
• Have full competence in ASME BPE, ATEX including DSD calculations, shutdown systems including IEC 61508 (SIL) for I&C.
• Have knowledge of Industry 4.0 and be familiar with Fieldbus systems
• Have experience of DCS and PLC systems including hardware from an I&C perspective.
• Review of process and mechanical packages
• Technical review & management of Instrumentation and system integration vendors.
• Some travel may be required including international for site visits, client workshops etc.
  

Show Your Expertise

• Level 8 degree in Instrumentation engineering/Applied Physics or similar engineering degree.
• At least 5-7 years experience in a similar field, ideally life scuebces
