Sr Project Manager (Medical Affairs)

On behalf of our client – multinational pharma company located in Milan, operating in Italy and abroad and focused in rare diseases, cardiovascular, immuno-oncologic, gynecological and neurologic area – we are looking for a Senior Project Manager (R&D/Medical Dept.).

The Project Manager is responsible for overall project planning/execution/risk mitigation and process management. He/ She periodically reports project contents to the Project Leader to ensure timely updates on project progress.

Responsibility:

• Plan project activities and set deadlines based on Project Leader’s strategy and project objectives.
• Track activities and monitor project progress
• Ensure project objectives are delivered on time and with appropriate quality standards
• Support extended functional teams in the preparation of functional plans which reflect the integrated project plan
• Develop, maintain and update a cross-functional integrated project plan based on the project strategy agreed with Project Leader
• Ensure key project documentation is regularly updated at each gate and in case of a significant change in project scope, timeline, budget or quality
• Collaborate with Project Leader and DD management to constantly improve project management processes
• Support Project Leader in the management of the project team ensuring efficient communication and stakeholder satisfaction
• Communicate project progress within DD department and to upper management, providing monthly status reports on project progression and overall spending
• Provide input to the definition, development and control of annual R&D Budget for the assigned projects in collaboration with the R&D controller.

Project management capabilities, including PMP® certification

3-5 years in a comparable position with direct experience in submitting regulatory dossiers for approval in Europe (MAA) and the United States (NDA).

Bachelor degree in Life Science

Full understanding of drug / chemical development value chain and commercialization

Good Technical IT skills ie Microsoft project skills

Full Proficiency in English language
