OT Security Architect – Design Security Where It Matters Most

📍 Amersfoort | Hybrid

Imagine this:

A production plant is running 24/7. Its control systems are connected, its processes automated — and every minute of uptime counts. You’re not just the architect of the network; you’re the reason it stays secure. Your design prevents downtime. Your integration keeps systems protected. Your decisions, quietly made, make all the difference.

As an OT Security Architect at Yokogawa, you’ll build and secure the digital foundation of some of the world’s most essential industries — ensuring that safety, stability, and sustainability go hand in hand.

The Role – Security by Design, Delivered with Precision

You’ll be part of the OT Security Team within the Operations NL Team — a diverse group of specialists with complementary skillsets and a shared mindset: protect what matters. You’ll design and implement robust OT cyber security architectures that align with real-world operations and critical infrastructure needs.

You are the technical lead for security solutions in projects. You bring together routers, firewalls, directory services, antivirus, and backup systems into a cohesive, secure, and fully documented environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an OT Security Architect, you’ll take the lead in:

  • Designing and delivering secure OT network architectures from scratch.
  • Selecting security solutions for project proposals — balancing compliance, risk, and performance.
  • Implementing and testing security components like Windows Server, Active Directory, WSUS, antivirus, backup systems, Industrial Network Elements, Network Management Solutions (NMS) and Intrusion Detection Solutions (IDS).
  • Configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Configuring and maintaining virtualized environments.
  • Creating and maintaining as-built documentation that ensures clarity and continuity.
  • Supporting the full lifecycle of security solutions — from concept to continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating across disciplines to integrate security into every layer of the system.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

You’re someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and responsibility. You understand the demands of industrial environments and bring a secure-by-design mindset to everything you do.

You bring:

  • An MBO-4 or HBO degree in IT or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, WSUS, Antivirus solutions, Back-up and virtualization.
  • Experience with Networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls).
  • A structured, hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • Strong communication skills in either Dutch or English.
  • willingness to travel within the Netherlands frequently and from to time to time abroad
  • A solution-focused, flexible attitude and customer-centric mindset.

What You’ll Get in Return

We believe in trust, development, and work that matters — and we make sure our people feel that too.

At Yokogawa, you’ll enjoy:

  • 31 days off (25 vacation + 6 ADV)
  • A future-proof pension scheme
  • 8% holiday pay, paid in May
  • A guaranteed 5% annual bonus
  • Travel allowance and home office compensation
  • A laptop and phone you can use privately too
  • An international learning & development program
  • Hybrid working options depending on project phase
  • Collective accident insurance and peace of mind
