Software Engineer for Retail Customer:

Location: Helsingborg (Hybrid Working)

Pay Rate: Negotiable

Language: English Speaking (Swedish a plus)

Proposed Start Date: 1st of July

Job Role:

• We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled developer with 10+ years of experience in backend development. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in GoLang microservices and practical exposure to cloud-native tools like GCP, Terraform, Pub/Sub, and GitHub Actions.
• This role offers an opportunity to work on scalable enterprise systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute meaningfully to architecture and implementation decisions.

Primary Skills (Must-Have):

• 10+ years of experience in backend development, with strong command of GoLang and microservices architecture.
• Expertise in deploying and managing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes for cloud infrastructure and orchestration.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, especially using Pub/Sub or similar messaging systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, code quality focus, and ability to lead technically complex projects.
• Understanding of REST APIs, secure coding, and scalable architecture.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

• Exposure to Solace or similar messaging platforms.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with GitHub Actions.
• Basic knowledge of monitoring/logging tools and DevOps workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality backend services using GoLang.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations for various microservices.
• Deploy and manage services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
• Integrate and configure messaging platforms like Solace as part of distributed systems.
• Participate in design reviews, performance tuning, and code reviews to ensure best-in-class software quality.
