As a Network Management and Operations NetAct Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work within one of the engineering departments in a diverse, multi-national team at Nokia. Throughout your training, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of network management and optimization, collaborating with professionals from various technical backgrounds. You will be exposed to cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions, contributing to the development of high-performance networks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills, learn from industry experts, and make meaningful contributions to the advancement of global network infrastructures. You will also participate in challenging projects, enhance your problem-solving abilities, and expand your professional network in the telecommunications industry.
Duration: 11 Months (first contract for 4 months, second contract for 7 months, possibility to start full-time after the internship)
Location: Istanbul, Turkey
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Deploy and update Network Management systems in Telecommunication network
- Integrate rich variety of Radio and Core Network elements into NM system
- Fault Monitoring, Performance Monitoring and Configuration Management of a Telco Network is arranged via NM system
- Execute installation and upgrade task for the Nokia NM system, Administer and maintain the Nokia NM system, ensuring its availability, performance, and reliability.
- Configure and customize the Network Management platform to meet the specific requirements of the radio and core network monitoring and management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the NM system, minimizing network downtime.
- Stay updated on the latest releases, patches, and updates related to Nokia NM, and perform system upgrades and enhancements as required.
Key Skills And Experience
- Student of Telecommunications, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
- Excellent English skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interest in IT systems, IP networks, IP security, and telecommunications.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PERL, Python, or similar.
- Good knowledge and experience in administering and managing Linux IT systems, including installation, system configuration, and performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with SQL databases such as Oracle.
- Familiarity with network management protocols such as SNMP.
- Interest in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Linux, databases, TCP/IP, web protocols, security, SSL/TLS, and VLAN.
- Availability to work from the office in Istanbul for 3 days per week
- Familiarity with VMware or OpenStack, cloud software, server virtualization, and preparing virtual machines.
- Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office functions (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
