UX/Front End Designer / Developer

Position Description

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our client office.

MCCR Engineering is seeking a UX designer with front-end development experience to join our dynamic team. We are undergoing incredible transformation - migrating data pipelines, micro services, and web applications to cloud, re-architecting and rewriting much of the codebase in the process. You will have complete, end-to-end ownership of user experience on the front end for Banks traders and risk managers across the globe.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize design concepts and user flows.
  • Develop sitemaps and information architecture to organize content and improve navigation.
  • Design interactive elements, transitions, and animations to enhance user experience.
  • Translate designs into functional and visually appealing interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Conduct usability tests to identify areas for improvement and ensure a positive user experience.
  • Work closely with developers and product managers to ensure a cohesive and user-centered design.
  • Design for accessibility to ensure inclusivity and usability for all users.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • Understanding of user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Experience with prototyping tools like Axure, UXPin, or Invision.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas and rationale.
  • Ability to identify and solve design problems and improve user experience.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
