Job Description

 Digital Product Designer - based in Malaysia

This role reports into one of the Design Managers and will work closely with the various product designers within the team, Digital lead, Project Management and various POs to drive User Experience into the heart of StarHub’s digital channels. The scope covers (but may not be limited to) StarHub app and StarHub.com

Responsibilities :

  • Drive product design outcomes across diverse products and digital touchpoints.
  • Design simple solutions for complex actions/problems.
  • Translate research findings into ideas and inform-decision throughout the design process.
  • Apply design thinking methodologies to empathize with users, identify problems, and develop solutions.
  • Produce user-interface design that enhances user experiences.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate design concepts and rationale effectively
  • Maintains and enforces UX style guides, UI standards, and interaction design pattern libraries.
  • Continuously explore and apply best UX practices to ensure our products stay current and competitive. Document ]


Requirements:

  • A portfolio showing past work is a must.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, product design or similar UX-related role
  • High working proficiency in prototyping tools (Figma or similar)
  • Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, web based information architecture and design
  • Ability to work independently, gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Natural curiosity and find inspiration beyond the screen; through the people you talk to, analogous experiences, and beyond
  • Proven ability to produce high quality user experience deliverables: storyboards, user scenarios/tasks, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, etc.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
  • Experience working with web or app development technologies is a strong plus (HTML, CSS, JS, iOS, Android)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills


Bonus if you have:

  • Experience designing services and delivering UX solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
  • Experience owning projects, communicating timelines, aligning stakeholders and executing independently You confidently present a strong rationale for design decisions and rely on analytics and data (including qualitative data) to shape product decisions and track the effectiveness of change
