As we scale, we’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong PHP and React Native experience to help shape our core products, new features and drive key architectural decisions.

The Role

You’ll be a senior contributor working across both the backend and mobile layers of our platform. You’ll collaborate closely with the 2 Co-founders to build intuitive, scalable features and help modernize our codebase. You’ll take ownership of critical systems and mentor younger engineers along the way.

Key Responsibilities

• Help lead the design and development of features across our backend and React Native mobile applications (IOS and Android)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver elegant, scalable solutions.
• Optimise performance and reliability across our stack.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor other developers.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical planning.
• Implement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines where needed.
• Work closely with product and UX to iterate on customer needs.

Tech Stack

• Backend: PHP (Laravel ideally OR Symfony)
• Frontend: React Native, TypeScript
• Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis
• Tools: GitHub, Jira, Slack, CI/CD pipelines

About You

• 5 - 7 years of professional full stack development experience.
• Solid experience building and shipping React Native apps.
• Strong experience with modern PHP frameworks (Laravel or Symfony preferred).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, data modelling, and systems architecture.
• Experience working in agile environments.
• Great communication skills and a proactive, team-first mindset.
• Based in Melbourne or open to relocating.

Nice to Have

• Experience with analytics/data platforms.
• Exposure to mobile deployment (iOS/Android).
• Experience in asset/inventory/work management systems.
