Machine Learning Engineer

We're partnered with a VC-backed climate tech startup whose mission is to drive climate action through data. Their intelligent platform empowers organisations to tackle climate issues by monitoring their carbon footprint. It's currently being used by global sustainability leaders!

On the hunt for TWO talented Machine Learning Engineers with experience in Search, Recommendation Engines, and Text Classification to join our dynamic team. You'll collaborate with developers, scientists, and experts to improve AI features that are at the core of what we do. If you're someone who loves taking ownership of projects and working in a team, this could be a great fit for you!

What you’ll do:

• Build, develop, and maintain ML models, NLP, and Information Retrieval systems that power carbon intelligence globally.
• Deliver key data and insights through platforms that support major enterprises in their climate action efforts.
• Experiment and optimize models (like transformers, classifiers, LLMs) to improve our product’s search and recommendation engine.
• Keep our data pipelines in check, ensuring everything’s ready for modeling.
• Deploy and manage models using AWS SageMaker, Flask, and Pydantic.

What you’ll need:

• Extensive experience in Machine Learning, specifically with Search, Classification, and Information Retrieval.
• Python experience, specifically working with data pipelines and REST APIs.
• A self-starter who enjoys problem-solving and working independently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with remote teams.
