Payments Operations Specialist

We are looking for a Payments Operations Specialist to join our team and oversee payment processing, banking operations, and financial compliance. This role requires deep expertise in payment systems, banking operations, PSPs, compliance, and cryptocurrency transactions. You will work closely with financial institutions, PSPs, and internal teams to ensure smooth and compliant transaction flows.

Responsibilities:

• Payment Processing & Monitoring: Execute and oversee payment transactions, including incoming/outgoing payments, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
• Banking & Exchange Operations: Handle client-bank transactions, monitor payment statuses, and manage operations on cryptocurrency exchanges.
• Compliance & Documentation: Prepare and review financial documents (invoices, payment orders, contracts) and respond to banking and PSP compliance inquiries.
• Client & Partner Communication: Collaborate with clients, banks, and PSPs to optimize payment solutions and resolve complex cases.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Calculate fees, analyze payment costs, and prepare reports to enhance financial efficiency.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to KYC/AML and other regulatory requirements related to payments and financial transactions.

Requirements (Mandatory):

• Experience: 2+ years in fintech, e-commerce, banking, or PSPs with a focus on payment operations.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of banking platforms, PSPs, SWIFT, SEPA, IBAN, and cryptocurrency exchanges.
• Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of banking operations, KYC/AML, and regulatory frameworks.
• Analytical Skills: Experience in payment calculations, financial analysis, and working with data.
• Communication & Problem-Solving: Ability to manage complex payment cases and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience in private banking or high-risk payments.
• Knowledge of international financial structures and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in commercial negotiations with banks, PSPs, and financial institutions.
• Skills in automation and data analytics (advanced Excel, Google Sheets, CRM tools).
• Experience in expanding payment networks and developing strategic partnerships.

Tools & Technologies:

• Banking & Payment Processing: Client-bank portals, SWIFT, SEPA, PSPs, cryptocurrency exchanges.
• Compliance & AML: Sumsub and similar KYC/AML tools.
• Data Analytics & Reporting: Excel, Google Sheets/Gsuite, and CRM (upcoming implementation).
• Communication & Task Management: Google Meet, Slack, Telegram, Signal, JIRA, Confluence.
