Senior .NET developer

Location: LT preferred (remote possible if candidate is able to travel to the office occasionally)

Start date: ASAP

End date: 12 months (with the possibility of a one-year extension)

Role Overview:

We're looking for an experienced .NET Developer to join our fintech engineering team, focusing on global and regional payment integrations (SEPA, SWIFT, TARGET2, FPS, BACS, CHAPS, PayPal, Banking Circle). This role demands strong .NET expertise and solid knowledge of banking protocols, ISO 20022, and real-time payments.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain .NET Core (C#) backend services for payment processing
  • Handle ISO 20022 (pain.001, camt.053) and SWIFT MT/MX messages
  • Integrate with bank APIs and file-based systems
  • Manage full payment lifecycles: initiation to reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with robust error handling and auditing
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable services
  • Maintain technical documentation and support new integrations
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in C# / .NET (Core/6/7/8)
  • Deep knowledge of ISO 20022, SEPA formats
  • Experience with SWIFT, FPS, BACS, CHAPS, TARGET2
  • Familiarity with PayPal and Banking Circle APIs
  • Proficient in REST, SOAP, SFTP, XML/JSON, and data validation
  • Skilled in secure coding, SQL Server, message queues, and Docker

Nice to have:

  • Experience with core banking or digital wallets
  • Knowledge of Open Banking, FX, ledgers, and liquidity tools
  • Familiarity with cut-off times and clearing processes
