Python Developer

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer with 8–10 years of hands-on expertise in Python, Django, API development, Git, SQL, Azure DevOps, and Cosmos DB. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in API creation using Django/Django REST Framework, application refactoring, and developing optimized, scalable, and secure applications.

This role requires an expert who can analyze existing legacy applications and rewrite/refactor them in Python/Django while ensuring integration with modern cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, debug, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF)
• Understand existing application code, perform code reviews, and propose refactoring strategies
• Rewrite legacy applications using modern Python and Django coding standards
• Ensure seamless data exchange between front-end and back-end systems
• Optimize API performance, security, and scalability for production environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment
• Utilize Git for version control and Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline support
• Work with SQL databases and Cosmos DB for backend data management
• Use Pandas for data processing where applicable

Essential Skills:

✅ 8–10 years of hands-on experience in Python and Django (including DRF)

✅ Strong knowledge of API development, debugging, and optimization

✅ Proficiency in Git, SQL, and Azure DevOps

✅ Experience working with Cosmos DB

✅ Expertise in application refactoring—rewriting applications from scratch after analyzing old code

✅ Experience using Pandas for data manipulation

✅ Strong Python scripting skills

✅ Competency at Expert (E3) level in Python and Django

Desirable Skills:

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools
• Knowledge of other Python web frameworks is a plus
