Senior Network Architect

Employment Type: Freelance and full-time employment options available

Type: 1-year contract with possibility to extend

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (1-2 days per week in the office initially, then more flexible)

About the Client: Our client is on a mission to modernize and future-proof their network infrastructure for the next 5–10 years. They are seeking a senior-level Network Architect with deep hands-on expertise and strategic vision to lead this transformation.

Role Description: As a Senior Network Architect, you will be a key player in designing and implementing efficient network solutions. You will challenge the status quo, influence stakeholders, and drive our networking and security teams towards a modern, agile, and security-first approach. Your goal will be to create a flexible and adjustable network that can quickly integrate new offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and design data communication networks.
• Present network plans to management staff.
• Oversee the network implementation process, including setting schedules and budgets.
• Manage information and network security.
• Oversee upgrades to hardware and software as needed.
• Manage maintenance and repairs to network equipment.
• Keep documentation of networks, including drawings, descriptions, and configurations.
• Research network technologies and stay up to date on advancements in the field.

Must-Have Technical Skills:

• Layer 1: WAN connection types, provider connection types, LAN connection types.
• Layer 2: VLANs, Portchannels, sub-interfaces vs trunk.
• Layer 3: IP, Routing, VRF.
• Experience with Firewalls (Fortigate & Forcepoint).
• Cisco Certified.
• Ability to analyze complex network infrastructures, determine root causes for performance deficiencies, propose efficient solutions, and manage implementation.
• Telephony/VoIP infrastructure management and migration projects.
• Knowledge of modern networking (SDWAN, Cloud Networking, Zero Trust, etc.).
• Understanding of technical offers from telecom providers and ability to select the most appropriate services for each need.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Project Management certification.
