Employee Relationship Specialist

We are looking for an Employee Relationship Specialist to join our Mccann Wordgroup and UM Romania group to help us attract and recruit the most talented candidates. You will be working across our group to support recruitment and employer branding initiatives in the areas of Account Management, Creative, Strategy, Project Management, Digital, Social, etc.


Also, as an Employee Relations Specialist, you will be working closely with the Chief Talent Officer to drive a series of initiatives connected with the company’s values, policies and procedures.

You will be providing professional HR guidance and support to employees throughout their working journey, starting with the recruitment process and ending with exit interviews.

What you will do:

  • Lead full life cycle recruitment for a variety of open roles across our business.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of active and passive candidates in the advertising space.
  • Source talent through headhunting, LinkedIn, social media, etc.
  • Represent McCann Worldgroup and UM at networking and recruitment events.
  • Ensure candidates are receiving the best possible interview and hiring experience.
  • Be involved in the on-boarding process (e.g. signing of documents, presentation of relevant departments etc.).
  • Contribute to our employer branding strategy.
  • Together with the team, you will design and implement internal and external employer branding actions.
  • You will implement employer branding campaigns at agency’s level.
  • You will collaborate and interact with colleagues from other departments within the agency in order to promote the employer branding initiatives.
  • You will be in contact with global colleagues on Employer Branding initiatives, in order to align the local actions with the global ones, when needed.
  • Maintain and update employee files, including personal details, contracts, benefits, and performance records.
  • You get involved in employees’ conversations such as one month / six months anniversaries, exit interviews, based on which you will be able to think and implement actions regarding the retention strategy.


What we’re looking for:

  • 2-3 years of recruitment experience.
  • Proven knowledge of labor related legislation.
  • Proven experience in Human Resources, preferable in Employee Relations, Learning and Development, Talent Management, Talent Development;
  • Experience in running company-wide HR projects (i.e. multiple business stakeholders and employees involved in the project);
  • Experience in fast-paced organizations and industries.
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in both, English and Romanian;
  • Adaptability, curiosity and the desire to move things forward.
