Back End Developer

Backend Developer £500/pd outside IR35 (1 month contract)

Contract Length: 1 month

Location: Remote

My client is seeking a skilled Back-End Developer with a strong background in Node.js, Express, AWS, AI and Chatbox ideally from a startup environment,. You’ll be responsible for building scalable APIs, managing cloud infrastructure, and supporting AI-driven features and data pipelines. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in agile settings and has a passion for innovation and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain back-end services using Node.js and Express.
• Deploy, manage, and optimise cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate models into production systems.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of applications.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Node.js and Express.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB).
• Exposure to AI/ML projects or pipelines (preferred).
• Startup or high-growth environment experience.
• Experience with Chatbox
